Valencia College and The Group Advertising (TGA) have joined forces for their Osceola Campus Hispanic Marketing Campaign. The agency is developing all the creative for the campaign in Spanish by using traditional and non-traditional advertising.
The United States Census Bureau (2011) shows that Latinos represent 46.3% of Osceola County population. Also, according to a report made by Pew Hispanic Center, the share of young Hispanics enrolled in college rose from 13% in 1972 to 27% in 2009 to 32% in 2010. Latinos have become the largest minority group enrolling among young college students in 2010.
The percentage of Hispanics in Valencia’s College-wide Credit Enrollment has been increasing, in Fall 2012 Hispanics represented 31.2%, compared to 24.3% in the Fall of 2006. The goal of the campaign created by TGA is to increase enrollment for the Fall 2013 term. The Osceola Campus will have an Open House in Spring 2013, in which attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the Student Life, Financial Aid, Steps to Enrollment, Direct Connection to UCF, and more.
